COAST Hamilton
Crisis Outreach and Support Team (COAST) is a partnership between Mental Health Workers at St. Joseph’s Healthcare and specially-trained officers of the Hamilton Police Service. The program serves the residents of the City of Hamilton who have serious mental health issues and are in crisis, including a 24/7 crisis line.
Mobile Crisis Rapid Response Team (MCRRT): First Responders consisting of mental health professionals and dedicated uniformed police officers in a marked police cruiser. This team can respond to 911 calls for people in crisis, from 10:00 am until 1:00 am daily.
